A strong state is not defined only by the number of police officers, the size of the army, or the amount of the security budget. These indicators matter, but they do not explain the main issue: how well the very construction of the state is protected from corruption, political capture, concentration of power, and external influence.

The question of trust in the Russian opposition cannot be reduced to who exactly speaks against the current president. Such an approach is too superficial.
