Job Search, Employment and Career Development in Europe and Beyond — €49 for the Full Course

Practical MediaIEU Course

Job Search, Employment and Career Development in Europe and Beyond

100 lectures — €49 for the full course

Finding a job in another country requires more than knowing where vacancies are published and how to submit a CV.

Countries differ in their requirements for foreign workers, procedures for obtaining work permits, types of employment contracts, probationary periods, salary-payment rules, taxes, social-security contributions, minimum pay rates, annual leave, sick leave, dismissal procedures and methods of protecting workers’ rights.

Job offers made through intermediaries, temporary-work agencies, international recruiters and employers that provide accommodation, transport or document-processing services require particular attention. In such cases, the employer, contract, net salary, deductions, accommodation conditions, working hours and the possibility of changing jobs must all be checked in advance.

The practical MediaIEU course “Job Search, Employment and Career Development in Europe and Beyond” combines a general job-search system, separate lectures on European countries, practical preparation for employment and a dedicated lecture on working outside Europe.

This is not a collection of general recommendations such as “write a good CV” or “prepare for the interview”.

The lectures examine the specific stages of finding work, local job websites, public employment services, types of employment contracts, taxes, social-security contributions, work permits, recognition of qualifications, language requirements, protection of workers’ rights and the risks characteristic of each country.

After payment, the buyer acquires the complete course of 100 lectures. No additional payment is required for individual countries, subsequent lectures, career materials or the lecture on employment outside Europe.

How the course is structured

The course consists of 100 lectures:

  • 50 general and practical lectures;
  • 49 separate lectures on European countries;
  • 1 separate lecture on finding work outside Europe.

Every Friday, two new lectures are sent to the buyer by email:

  1. one general or practical lecture;
  2. one lecture on a specific country or geographical region.

The first delivery is made on the first Friday following payment.

The full course runs for 50 weeks. However, all 100 lectures are considered purchased by the buyer immediately after payment.

10.6. Sending the materials to the email address provided by the Buyer when making payment constitutes proper fulfilment of MediaIEU’s obligation to provide the relevant part of the Digital Product.

10.7. The fact that the Buyer has not actually opened or reviewed the sent message does not mean that the materials were not provided.

10.8. If the Buyer provided an incorrect email address, the materials are sent again after the payment has been confirmed and the correct email address has been received.

10.9. Resending materials to the correct email address is not considered a new purchase.

10.10. Resending materials does not change the general Professional Course delivery schedule.

10.11. If the Buyer’s email address changes after the purchase, the Buyer must notify MediaIEU of the new email address and provide the information required to identify the payment.

10.12. MediaIEU may refrain from changing the recipient’s email address until the Buyer’s identity or the relevant payment has been confirmed.

11.3. If a delay occurs, MediaIEU’s obligation to provide the paid materials remains in force.

11.4. Delayed materials are sent to the Buyer after the circumstances preventing delivery have been resolved.

11.5. A minor technical delay in delivery does not in itself constitute MediaIEU’s refusal to perform the agreement.

11.6. If provision of the paid Digital Product becomes objectively impossible, the provisions of the section governing refunds shall apply.

12. Educational and Informational Nature of the Materials

12.1. MediaIEU Professional Courses and Practical Lectures are educational and informational in nature.

12.7. Legislation, administrative procedures, taxes, fees and the requirements of banks, notaries, registers and public authorities may change.

12.8. The Buyer makes decisions independently and independently verifies the current requirements applicable to their specific situation.

12.9. MediaIEU is not a party to transactions entered into by the Buyer on the basis of or after studying the materials.

12.10. MediaIEU does not represent the Buyer before banks, notaries, employers, sellers, buyers, public authorities or other persons unless a separate service has been expressly agreed in writing.

13. Right of Withdrawal and Digital Content

13.1. Professional Courses, Practical Lectures and related materials constitute digital content supplied without a tangible medium.

13.2. The Buyer confirms that they understand the digital nature of the purchased product and the procedure for sending it by email.

13.3. If the Buyer is a Consumer and the purchase is made at a distance, the right of withdrawal applies in accordance with applicable consumer-protection legislation.

13.4. Before the supply of digital content begins, the Buyer may submit a request to withdraw from the purchase in the cases and within the periods provided by applicable law.

13.5. The Buyer may give prior express consent for the supply of digital content to begin before the end of the statutory withdrawal period.

13.6. The Buyer confirms that they understand that, after the supply of digital content begins, the right of withdrawal may be lost where the Buyer has given prior express consent and acknowledged the consequences of that consent.

13.7. For a Professional Course, the supply of digital content begins when the first lectures of the purchased course are sent to the Buyer.

13.8. For a Practical Lecture, the supply of digital content begins when the relevant Practical Lecture or the first part of its materials is sent to the Buyer.

13.9. If the right of withdrawal has not been lost in the manner prescribed by law, the mandatory provisions of consumer-protection legislation shall apply.

13.10. Restrictions on the right of withdrawal do not restrict the Buyer’s statutory rights in the event of non-supply, damage or non-conformity of the paid digital content.

13.11. The following separate confirmation may be used on the Payment Page:

“I agree that the supply of the purchased digital content may begin before the end of the withdrawal period, and I understand that once the supply of the Digital Materials has begun, I may lose my right of withdrawal in accordance with applicable law.”

13.12. The confirmation referred to in Clause 13.11 may be provided through a separate mandatory field, checkbox or another explicit action by the Buyer on the Payment Page.

14. Refunds

14.1. A refund request may be submitted before the supply of digital content begins, provided that the Buyer’s right of withdrawal remains available under applicable law.

14.2. Once the supply of digital content has begun, payment is not refunded where the Buyer has given prior express consent to the beginning of supply and acknowledged the loss of the right of withdrawal, except in cases provided by applicable law and this section.

14.3. A refund may be issued in the following cases:

a) an erroneous payment;

b) duplicate payment for the same Digital Product;

c) technical impossibility of providing the paid Digital Product;

d) permanent discontinuation of a Professional Course before all lectures included in it have been provided;

e) inability to replace damaged or unavailable Digital Materials;

f) another confirmed error on the part of MediaIEU or the payment service used;

g) other cases expressly provided by applicable law.

14.4. If the Buyer paid twice for the same Digital Product, the duplicate payment may be refunded after verification.

14.5. If the materials were not received because the Buyer provided an incorrect email address, payment is not refunded automatically. The materials are sent again after payment has been confirmed and the correct email address has been received.

14.6. If part of a Professional Course has already been provided and further delivery becomes permanently impossible for a reason attributable to MediaIEU, the amount of the refund is determined with regard to the unprovided part of the course and the mandatory requirements of applicable law.

14.7. The mere absence of the result expected by the Buyer after studying the materials does not constitute grounds for a refund.

14.8. The Buyer’s disagreement with the conclusions, author’s position or methodology presented in the materials does not constitute grounds for a refund, provided that the content corresponds to the product description.

14.9. A refund request must contain information enabling the Buyer and the payment to be identified.

14.10. For verification purposes, MediaIEU may request the email address, payment date, product title, payment amount and proof of payment.

14.11. A refund is made by a method available in view of the original payment method and the rules of the relevant bank and payment service.

14.12. The time required for refunded funds to be credited may depend on the Buyer’s bank or payment service.

15. Conformity of the Digital Materials

15.1. MediaIEU undertakes to provide Digital Materials corresponding to the description of the purchased Professional Course or Practical Lecture.

15.3. Minor differences in design, file name, number of pages, file size or the structure of individual sections do not constitute non-conformity, provided that the content and purpose of the product remain unchanged.

15.4. If a file is damaged, cannot be opened or was sent incompletely due to a cause attributable to MediaIEU, the relevant file is sent again.

15.5. The Buyer must report the technical issue and identify the particular file that cannot be opened or is missing.

15.6. MediaIEU may provide a corrected version of the file, a new link, a new archive or the same material in another available digital format.

15.7. The inability to open a standard PDF file or ZIP archive due to the Buyer’s device, software or settings does not in itself constitute non-conformity of the Digital Product.

16. Right to Use the Materials

16.1. The Buyer receives a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the paid Digital Materials personally.

16.2. The Buyer does not receive exclusive rights to the materials.

l) providing access to the materials through a shared, collective or public email account where the relevant product was purchased for personal use;

m) using the materials to provide paid instruction to third parties without the written permission of the rights holder.

16.6. Quotation of short excerpts is permitted within the limits established by applicable law, provided that the author and source are clearly indicated.

16.7. Receipt of the materials by email does not transfer to the Buyer ownership of the intellectual-property rights, course structure, methodology or product content.

16.8. A violation of the rules governing use may result in termination of further delivery of the materials and the application of copyright-protection measures in accordance with applicable law.

17. Copyright

19.6. A delay caused by the Buyer providing an incorrect email address or incomplete information does not constitute a breach of the delivery schedule by MediaIEU.

20. Personal Data

20.1. The Buyer’s personal data is processed to the extent necessary to place and confirm the payment, provide the Digital Materials, communicate with the Buyer, fulfil accounting and legal obligations and protect the legitimate interests of MediaIEU.
