Do you not understand which direction of work to choose, doubt your profession, or think about education, changing your field of activity or starting a new professional path?

Take the test and find out which direction of work, profession and education is more suitable for you, taking into account your situation, goals and internal readiness.

Assessment of a Suitable Work Direction

This test is intended for a person choosing a job, profession, retraining path, or employment direction. It is suitable for personal choice, counselling, employment services, or a Jobcenter-type scenario, but it is not tied to one country.

What the test evaluates

The test “Identifying the Right Direction for Work, Profession and Training” is designed to assess which direction of professional development is more suitable for a person in their current life, work and personal situation.

It helps understand in which field a person can act more steadily, make decisions, develop, learn, take responsibility, withstand pressure and connect their actions with a real result.

The test does not evaluate only a person’s wishes. Wanting to work in a certain field does not yet mean being ready for that field. A person may want one profession, but in terms of behaviour, way of making choices, attitude to money, responsibility and learning, may be closer to another direction.

Therefore, the test considers not only interests, but also the internal structure of the decision: how a person acts, how they choose, what is truly important for them, how ready they are for learning, discipline, a change of routine, new responsibility and the practical consequences of the chosen path.

The main task of the test is not simply to name a profession, but to identify a direction in which a person can act more consciously, steadily and effectively.

What a suitable direction of work, profession and education means

A suitable direction of work, profession and education in this test does not mean a random recommendation, a popular profession or a list of vacancies.

It refers to a direction that corresponds not only to a person’s external wish, but also to their behaviour, level of independence, way of making decisions, needs, financial readiness, attitude to responsibility and ability to learn.

A person may choose a profession under the influence of family, acquaintances, the market, social media, fear of poverty, desire for quick income or pressure from circumstances. But such a choice does not always become stable. Sometimes a person begins training but quickly loses interest. Sometimes they get a job but cannot withstand the routine. Sometimes they choose a profession because of money, but are not ready for the workload, people, responsibility or the real conditions of that field.

Therefore, a suitable direction is determined not only by the question “what do I like”, but by the question “where is the person truly capable of acting, developing and not destroying their decision when faced with reality”.

In this test, the direction of work, profession and education is viewed as a connection between a person’s internal state and the practical form of their future activity.

What is checked in the test

The test checks the suitable direction of work, profession and education through four areas: Behaviour, Choice, Demand and Money.

Behaviour

Behaviour shows how a person acts in situations related to work, education, changing profession or making a professional choice. Here it is important to understand whether the person is able to begin acting, follow a routine, fulfil obligations, withstand pressure, interact with people and not stop at the first difficulties.

This area shows which professional environment is closer to the person: more independent, more structured, practical, intellectual, social, technical, executive, organisational or creative.

Choice

Choice shows how a person makes decisions about work, profession and education. It evaluates whether the person chooses a direction consciously or acts under the pressure of family, environment, employment services, the market, fear of making a mistake, desire for quick results or other people’s expectations.

This area helps understand how capable a person is of defining their own professional path, comparing options, rejecting an unsuitable direction and accepting responsibility for the chosen decision.

Demand

Demand shows what real needs stand behind the choice of work, profession and education. Sometimes a person talks about a career, but is actually looking for stability. Sometimes they talk about money, but need recognition. Sometimes they want to change profession, but are trying to escape conflict, fatigue or dissatisfaction with their current environment.

This area helps separate a real need from external pressure, trends, comparison with other people or a temporary emotional state.

Money

Money shows how a person connects work, profession and education with income, obligations, financial responsibility and expectations of results.

Here it is important to understand whether the person is ready to invest time and resources in education, whether they can withstand a transition period, whether they understand the financial consequences of changing direction and whether they are choosing a profession only because of promised income, without taking into account workload, risk and personal readiness.

What the result shows

The test result shows which direction of work, profession and education corresponds more closely to the person’s current structure: their behaviour, way of making choices, needs, attitude to money, responsibility and readiness for development.

The test helps see where a person may act more steadily, and where the choice may be weak, accidental, imposed or built on unrealistic expectations.

The result is not reduced to one profession and does not work as a simple list of vacancies. It shows a direction: what type of activity the person should move towards, what form of work may be closer, what kind of education may make sense, and which options may lead to repeated mistakes, disappointment or loss of time.

For example, a person may want free creative work, but according to the result be more stable in a structured system. Or, on the contrary, a person may choose a stable position, although their behaviour and way of making choices show that they reveal themselves better in independent activity, project-based work or a different professional format.

The main task of the result is to show not a beautiful wish, but a more suitable direction of movement.

What the test is not

The test is not a medical, psychological, legal or state conclusion. It does not make a diagnosis, does not determine professional suitability in an official sense and does not replace an employment service specialist, career consultant, psychologist, doctor, lawyer or employer.

The test does not guarantee getting a job, admission to education, approval of funding, recognition of qualifications, employment, higher income or success in the chosen profession.

The test does not say that a person is obliged to choose only one direction and reject all others. Its task is to show which direction of work, profession and education appears more suitable from the point of view of Iv. Spolan’s model.

The test works through Behaviour, Choice, Demand and Money and helps see where a person’s professional decision has internal stability, and where it may be formed by pressure, fear, external expectations or an incorrect assessment of their own abilities.

Who this test is for

The test is suitable for a person who is choosing a direction of work, a profession, education, retraining or a change of activity.

It may be useful for a person who is unemployed, wants to enter the labour market, is thinking about a new profession, choosing a training course, considering a change of field or does not understand which direction to move in next.

The test is also suitable for a person who already works but feels that the chosen profession does not correspond to their state, abilities, goals, workload, income or expectations.

It may also be useful in a situation of interaction with an employment service, when a person needs not simply to formally choose training or a vacancy, but to understand which direction truly makes more sense.

The main task of the test is to help identify a professional direction not by a random wish, but by a deeper structure of behaviour, choice, needs and attitude to money.

Conclusion

A suitable direction of work, profession and education in this test is not simply a profession that a person likes, and not a field where high income is currently promised.

It is a direction in which a person is able to act, learn, make decisions, understand their needs, withstand responsibility and connect their efforts with a real result.

Any professional choice is connected with external conditions: the labour market, country of residence, age, education, experience, money, health, family, documents, language, obligations and available opportunities.

But even under the same external conditions, different people choose different paths. One person reveals themselves better in a stable system. Another in independent work. A third in a practical profession. A fourth in education, communication, organisation, analysis, technology, care, service, management or project activity.

The test helps see where a person’s choice may become stable, and where it may only be a reaction to fear, pressure, fatigue or someone else’s opinion.

The result shows which direction of work, profession and education corresponds more closely to the person at the present moment.
