Price: 149 €

Result preparation time: 72 hours

Number of participants: 1 person

Test format: individual test for a natural person

Do you often doubt your own decisions, depend on other people’s opinions or feel unsure about how independently you act in important life situations?

This test will help assess how well you understand a situation, make your own decisions and act on the basis of your understanding, experience, goals and evaluation of the consequences. The result will show in which areas you act independently and where external influence, fear of making a mistake or dependence on others limits your choices.

Take the test and find out how independently you make decisions, take action and accept responsibility for the consequences of your choices.

When your parents or older relatives disapprove of a decision you have already made, how do your actions usually change?
If your life choice differs from what your parents consider right, how do you determine the final decision?
How do you know that an important goal is genuinely yours rather than an extension of your parents' expectations?
If your parents support you financially while also demanding that you change your decision, what do you do?

What the test evaluates

The test “Determining Personal Independence” is intended to assess how capable a person is of understanding a situation, making decisions and acting on the basis of their own understanding, experience, goals and assessment of consequences.

It shows whether a person’s behavior is formed from their internal state and independent decision, or is more often determined by the influence of other people, circumstances, fear of making a mistake, expectation of approval, pressure from family, environment, work, society or the habit of adapting.

Independence in this test does not mean isolation from other people and does not mean refusing advice. A person may listen to others, receive information, discuss a situation and take external factors into account.

The main question is whether, after that, the person preserves the ability to make their own decision and act consciously, rather than simply repeating someone else’s position or choosing the option that is expected of them.

What independence means

Independence in this test does not mean complete independence from family, partner, colleagues, society or specialists. A person does not live separately from other people and does not make decisions in a vacuum. They are always influenced by their environment: close people, work, money, age, country of residence, past experience, obligations and current circumstances.

Therefore, independence is not measured by whether a person listens to others or not. A person may receive advice, discuss a situation, take family opinion into account, consult specialists and accept external information. This does not make them non-independent.

The main question is different: whether the person is able, after that, to independently determine their action, make a choice and accept responsibility for the result.

If a person hears different opinions but makes the final decision themselves, this is a sign of independence. If, however, they constantly wait for permission, are afraid to choose without approval, shift responsibility to others or act only as expected of them, independence weakens.

In this test, independence is understood as a person’s ability to preserve their own decision within external influence. Not to deny other people, not to reject information, but to understand where someone else’s opinion ends and where their own choice begins.

What is checked in the test

The test checks a person’s independence through four directions: Behavior, Choice, Demand and Money.

Behavior

Behavior shows how a person acts in ordinary situations: whether they make a decision themselves, postpone action, wait for an external signal or quickly adapt to other people.

Choice

Choice shows whether a person is able to define their position and choose a direction of action. Here it is important to understand whether the person makes a choice independently or more often transfers responsibility to family, partner, colleagues, management, circumstances or public opinion.

Demand

Demand shows how well a person understands their real needs. Sometimes a person thinks they need something, but in reality this desire has been formed by comparison, habit, fear, pressure from the environment or the desire to meet someone else’s expectations.

Money

Money shows how independence appears in the management of resources. This is not only about spending, but also about how a person makes financial decisions, takes on obligations, distributes income, reacts to pressure and understands the consequences of their actions.

What the result shows

The test result shows in which directions a person’s independence is stronger and in which it weakens under the influence of other people, circumstances, fear of making a mistake, the habit of agreeing or the expectation of external confirmation.

The test helps to see where a person is able to make a decision independently, and where they more often act not from their own understanding, but from the desire to avoid conflict, receive approval, avoid mistakes or avoid taking responsibility.

The result does not divide a person into independent and non-independent. It shows a structure: in one direction a person may be stable, while in another they may be dependent. For example, a person may work confidently and earn money, but at the same time have difficulty making personal decisions. Or, conversely, they may be independent in everyday life, but dependent on someone else’s opinion in matters of money, family or the future.

The main task of the result is not to give a general score, but to show specific zones where independence already exists and zones where a person more often loses their own decision under external influence.

What the test is not

The test does not provide a medical, psychological or legal diagnosis. It does not determine illness, disorder, deviation or personal inadequacy.

The test does not evaluate a person as good or bad, strong or weak, right or wrong. Its task is not to label a person, but to show how their independence is expressed at the current moment.

The test does not replace a doctor, psychologist, psychotherapist, lawyer, financial consultant or any other specialist. If a person needs professional help in a specific situation, this test is not a substitute for such help.

The test works within the framework of the Iv.Spolan model and shows the state of independence through Behavior, Choice, Demand and Money. It helps to see where a person preserves their own decision and where they more often depend on external opinion, circumstances or the expectations of other people.

Who this test is for

The test is suitable for a person who wants to understand to what extent their behavior, choice, needs and financial decisions truly come from their own understanding of the situation.

It may be useful if a person often doubts their decisions, depends on someone else’s opinion, waits for approval, is afraid of making a mistake or makes decisions under pressure from circumstances.

The test is also suitable for a person who looks independent externally, but wants to check whether this independence is preserved internally: in actions, choice, needs and attitude toward money.

The main task of the test is to show where a person makes decisions independently and where their behavior is more often formed under the influence of other people, habit, fear, expectations or the external environment.

Conclusion

Independence in this test is the ability of a person to understand a situation, make a decision, act and manage their resources on the basis of their own understanding and assessment of consequences.

This is not about being independent of everyone and everything. Every person lives among other people, takes circumstances into account, receives advice, faces limitations and external pressure.

The important question is different: whether the final decision remains with the person themselves.

If a person is able to listen to others, assess the situation, understand the consequences and then make their own decision, their independence is preserved.

If, however, the decision is more often made out of fear, the habit of agreeing, expectation of approval, pressure from family, partner, work environment, society or circumstances, independence weakens.

The test shows how capable a person is of preserving their own decision in behavior, choice, needs and management of resources.
